Acne Scar Treatment
Combination scar resurfacing using MNRF (microneedling radiofrequency), subcision, chemical peels and lasers to smooth depressed and boxcar scars.
What it treats
- Icepick, boxcar and rolling scars
- Post-acne pigmentation
- Uneven, textured skin
- Enlarged pores from old acne
How the treatment works
Scars are mapped by type, because each type responds to a different tool. Rolling scars are released with subcision, deeper scars are remodelled with MNRF or fractional laser, and pigmentation is layered with peels between sessions.
Sessions
Typically 4–6 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, with progressive improvement after each.
Downtime
2–4 days of redness after MNRF or laser; peels are usually back-to-normal in a day.
Common questions
Can acne scars be removed completely?
Scars are remodelled rather than erased. Most patients see substantial smoothing over a full course, and we set realistic expectations at the consultation.
Should I clear active acne first?
Yes. Active breakouts are settled before scar resurfacing begins so results last.
