PRP + GFC for Hair Loss
Growth-factor therapy using your own blood to strengthen thinning follicles and improve hair density.
What it treats
- Pattern hair loss
- Diffuse thinning
- Post-illness or post-partum shedding
- Weak, fine hair
How the treatment works
A small blood sample is processed to concentrate platelets and growth factors, which are then injected into the scalp at follicle level. GFC is a refined, higher-purity growth-factor concentrate used where a stronger stimulus is needed.
Sessions
A course of 4–6 monthly sessions, then maintenance every 4–6 months.
Downtime
Mild scalp tenderness for a few hours; you can return to work the same day.
Common questions
Is PRP painful?
Numbing is applied beforehand, so most patients describe it as a brief prickling sensation.
PRP or GFC — which is right for me?
GFC gives a more concentrated growth-factor dose. Dr. Nikhil recommends based on your scalp assessment.
